Four Seasons Hotel Prague
Boosted by the great reception from his Prague Castle show, Mestrovic Artlab and Four Seasons Hotel Prague devised a 3-month-long pop-exhibition for the iconic hotel’s lobby and entrance areas.
The display was open for public viewing from February until Easter 2023, accompanying the hotel’s floral motifs and spring season build-up. Not only the sculptures perfectly accompanied the hotel’s architecture and exquisite interior design, but also served as the first ever sculpture display in this Prague landmark. The reception and success of the exhibition, sharing the space with local artist Petra McGrath strengthened Four Seasons Hotel Prague involvement with art and its promotion, with many more actions devised for the future.
Ivan Mestrovic specially chose a collection of 5 EGGS, carefully set across the Hotel’s entrance and lobby space on custom natural walnut display cubes, also designed and crafted by the artist.The selected pieces, ranging in material and origin, also varied greatly in hue and texture, closely fitting the hotel’s colour palette and visual identity. Moreover, some avid art connoisseurs brightly remarked that the election of the White Carrara EGG, Green Onyx EGG, Brazilian Blue Granite EGG, and Silver Travertino Romano might have a secret “Easter egg” connection with the Artist’s most-beloved and favourite hotel brand.
